Parents As Teachers

The Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a home program for families with children 0–2 years old. The PAT vision is that all children will learn, grow, and develop to reach their full potential and that parents and caregivers are their earliest and best teachers.

In order to be eligible for PAT, families must be receiving or must be eligible for CalWORKs.

In 2025, Jurupa Unified School District completed the Parents as Teachers Quality Endorsement and

Improvement Process and earned the highest designation: Blue Ribbon Affiliate status. This honor

affirms that Jurupa Unified School District ranks among the top providers in the home visitation and parent

education field, implementing the evidence-based Parents as Teachers model with fidelity and

quality.
