Mission Statement

The Sky Country staff is committed to creating a school that knows no limits to the academic success of each student. Teachers provide challenging lessons reflecting current research, best practices, and high expectations.  Sky Country Elementary takes pride in maintaining a student-focus for all activities and programs. Teachers help to develop connections between life experiences and the curriculum. Staff and parents work together to develop the social, emotional, and physical well-being of all students.  Sky Country School opened to students in September of 1984 in an unicorporated area of Riverside County called Mira Loma.  It is one of 16 elementary schools in the Jurupa Unified School District, a semi-rural community that includes horse trails and small parks.  Of 579 students, 70% a...
