You will need to select the grade that your student will be ​entering during the next school year, 2023-2024:​​

For example, if your child is currently in 2nd grade, you will choose from the Grade 3-4 course options.​

  • Note: LEAP is now open to new TKers and students new to the district.  
  • Note: This year’s 6th graders select from their home middle school course options.
  • Note: This year’s 8th graders transitioning into high school are not eligible for LEAP.

7th-8thStrings Summer Camp / Campamento de Verano con CuerdasPerformance Arts, SEL, and more
Students who have taken at least 1 year of strings class in elementary or middle school are able to participate in this class.  We will be continuing our learning in our chosen instruments by practicing our instruments, playing games, doing music theory, doing a few crafts, and learning some songs for a small performance at the end of our class. (Instrument will be provided to borrow during class)

Los alumnos que han tomado 1 año en una clase primaria de cuerdas o secundaria pueden participar en esta clase.  Continuaremos nuestro aprendizaje en nuestros instrumentos escojidos al practicar nuestros instrumentos, jugar juegos, haciendo teoria en musica, haciendo un poco de manualidades, y aprendiendo algunas canciones para una produccion pequeña al final de nuestra clase.  (Se proporcionara un instrumento para pedir prestado durante la clase).

Do you like to doodle?  Journal? Have fun learning moves to reduce stress? Want to be creative?  Then sign up!  We will do yoga & Tai Chi; draw, reflect; paint and make crafts to take home.  We will also cook snacks together!  The objective is to have fun,  be creative and find outlets for our imagination.  This is a great opportunity to meet new friends and learn more about yourself, too.

Te gusta garabatear?  LLevar un diario?  Divertiendote al aprender conduce al reducir el estres?  Quieres ser creativo?  Entonces registrate!  Haremos yoga, y Tai Chil; dibujar, refleccion; pintar y hacer manualidades para llevar a casa.  Tambien concinaremos bacadillos juntos!  El objetivo es divertirse, se creativo y busca salidas a tu imaginacion.  Esta es un gran oportunidad para conocer nuevos amigos y aprender mas acerca de ti, tambien.

Do you like science? Are you into nerdy stuff? This course will allow you to participate in activities such as watching anime, exercising, arts & crafts, and playing tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons all while learning about valuable scientific concepts!

Te gusta la ciencia? Te gustan las cosas de cerebritos?  Este curso te permitira participar en actividades tal como viendo anime, haciendo ejercicios, artes y manualidades y jugar juegos de mesa como Dungeons y Dragons todo mientras aprenders acerca de conceptos cientificos invaluables!

Learn how to exercise and play a wide variety of sports.

"Have fun creating a variety of visual arts activities such as, painting, coloring, drawing
arts/crafts etc... to develop self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship skills.
Arts help build confidence, encourage empathy and acceptance of differences, allow for free expression, encourage creativity, and build problem-solving skills."

Diviertete creando una variedad de actividades de artes visuales tal como, pintando, coloreando, dibujando artes/manualidades etc...para desarollar autoconocimiento, autogestion, sensibilizacion social y habilidades de relacion.  El arte ayuda a crear confianza, fomentar la empatia y aceptar las diferencias, permite la libre expresion, fomentar la creatividad, y desarollar habilidades para resolver problemas.

Do you like being creative and expressing your unique talents? Escape the heat of the summer by spending time interacting with friends, making fun projects and crafts, reading interesting topics, and playing games. This LEAP course is designed for 7th and 8th-grade students to explore meaningful learning opportunities that support literacy and expressing their voice in creative ways. 

¿Te gusta ser creativo y expresar tus talentos unicos?  Escapa del calor este verano al pasar tiempo con amigos, haciendo proyectos divertidos y manualidades, leyendo temas interesantes, y jugando juegos.  Este curso de LEAP esta diseñado para los alumnos de 7 y 8 grado para explorar oportunidades de aprendizaje significativas que apoyan la alfabetizacion y expresan su voz de maneras creativas.
