The District supports Career Technical Education (CTE) in 11 of the 15 Industry Sectors recognized by the state. Students in the district can enroll and complete pathway training in 21 different CTE pathways. The JUSD CTE Advisory Committee—made up of industry, post-secondary, student, parent, teacher, administrative representatives, and Board members—meets once each academic year. The committee reviews industry trends, labor market information, and outcome data and reviews and approves the district's CTE Plan supported by Perkins, CTEIG and K12 Strong Workforce Program grants.
Students enrolled in specific CTE courses can earn college credit for the work they do in high school. Students need to earn a B or higher in the articulated course to be eligible for college credit. The following courses offer articulated credit:
