CTE Advisory Committee
The JUSD CTE Advisory Committee made up of industry, post-secondary, student, parent, teacher, administrative representatives, and Board members meets once each academic year. The committee reviews industry trends, labor market information and outcome data and reviews and approves the district's CTE Plan supported by Perkins, CTEIG and K12 Strong Workforce Program grants.
Articulated Courses
Students enrolled in specific CTE courses can earn college credit for the work they do in high school. Students need to earn a B or higher in the articulated course to be eligible for college credit. The following courses offer articulated credit:
- Anatomy and Physiology for Careers
- Auto Collision Essentials
- Auto II (must also complete Auto 1)
- Computer Graphics and Design
- Construction Technology I
- Digital Imaging
- Digital Photography I
- Digital Photography II
- Graphic Technology/ Print Careers
- Intro to Design
- Principles of Engineering
- Public Safety/ First Aid
- Retail Merchandising and Principles of Marketing
- Sports Medicine Advanced
- Television Production (must also complete Video Production class)
