You will need to select the grade that your student will be ​entering during the next school year, 2023-2024:​​

For example, if your child is currently in 2nd grade, you will choose from the Grade 3-4 course options.​

  • Note: LEAP is now open to new TKers and students new to the district.  
  • Note: This year’s 6th graders select from their home middle school course options.
  • Note: This year’s 8th graders transitioning into high school are not eligible for LEAP.

7th-8thMathematics in the Movies / Matematicas en las PeliculasSTEM, SEL, and more
Hollywood offers numerous encounters with Algebra. The group will make study math models and concepts introduced by the big screen. This course offers an opportunity for the group to look more closely with a content teacher as to what exactly the mathematical implications are introduced via the big screen.

Hollywood ofrece numerosos encuentros con Algebra.  El grupo hara un estudio de modelos matematicos y conceptos introducidos por la pantalla grande.  Este curso ofrece una oportunidad para que el grupo vea mas cerca con un maestro de contento  en cuanto a cuales son exactamente las implicaciones matematicas introducidas a traves de la pantalla grande.
7th-8thBuilding Model Roller Coasters / Construyendo Modelos de Montañas RusasSTEM, SEL, and more
Spend June building model roller coasters from nothing but paper and tape. We will begin with basic design elements like hills and loops. Students will then build individual or team roller coasters that will eventually be connected to make the "mega coaster." This course is not only for the science/engineering mind but also for the creative as students will have to develop a theme and color scheme for their coasters. The mega coaster theme will be decided by the entire class.

Pasate Junio construyendo modelos de montañas rusas de solo papel y cinta de pegar.  Empezaremos con elementos de un diseño basico tal como colinas y bucles.  Los alumnos entonces contruyiran individualmete o en equipo montañas rusas que eventualmente seran conectadas para hacer una "mega montaña rusa."  Este curso no solo es para las mentes de ciencia/ingenieria pero tambien para los creativos alumnos que tendran que desarollar un tema y combinacion de colores para las montañas rusas.  El tema de la mega montaña rusa sera decido por toda la clase.

Students will have hands-on learning experiences and use digital tools to explore stories and create projects, such as app design, coding to create animation, and engineering challenges. The course will also include creating art projects, musical instrument making, and developing their own choose-your-own-adventure stories.

Los estudiantes tendran experiencias de aprendizaje practico y usaran herramienta digital para explorar historias y crear proyectos, tal como diseño de aplicaciones, codificando para crear animacion, y desafios de ingenieria.  El curso tambien incluyira el crear proyectos de arte, hacer instrumentos musicales y desarollar sus propias historias de aventuras.

Explore four National Parks with virtual tours and hands-on projects, such as creating a volcano after learning about Volcanos National Park. Develop your own representation of Mt. Rushmore, make digital models using Minecraft, build a bridge out of various materials, and so much more! Come join us on this STEAM adventure through the National Parks System.

Explora cuatro Parques Nacionales con visitas virtuales en proyectos practicos, tal como crear un volcano despues de aprender acerca de Parques Nacionales de Volcanes.  Desarolla tu propia representacion de Mt. Rushmore, has modelos digitales usando Minecraft, edifica un puente de varios materiales, y mucho much mas!  Unete a nosotros en esta aventura de STEAM mediante el Sistema Nacional de Parques.
7th-8thArt Camp / Campamento de ArteSocial Studies/History, SEL, and more
Join the fun this summer at Art Camp!! Where we will explore multiple mediums and learn many art processes. From crocheting, painting & drawing, to clay sculpting and creative writing. Refine those art skills or come learn as a beginner. Every week will be an exciting opportunity for art exploration and self-expression. By the end of camp, you will have many creative masterpieces to show off. Can't wait for you to join the extraordinary world of visual art-making, mess-making, and FUN!!

Unete a la diversion este verano en el Campamento de Arte!!  Donde exploraremos medios multiples y aprenderemos mucho procesos de arte.  De cocer, pintar, y dibujar, al escultar de barro y escritura creativa.  Refine esas habilidades de arte o ven para aprender como aprendice.  Cada semana sera una oportunidad maravillosa para exploraion de arte y autoexpression.  Al final del campamento, tendras muchas obras maestras creativas para presumir.  No puedo esperar a que te unas al extraordinario mundo de hacer arte visual, desorden y DIVERSION!!

Survive the recent zombie pandemic by working with your group on some challenging, escape room-type questions. Learn about human behavior and how things change after catastrophes.

Sobrevive la reciente pandemia de zombis al trabajar con tu grupo en algunas preguntas desafiantes, del tipo de la sala de escape .  Aprende acerca del comportamiento de humanos y como cambian las cosas despues de las catastrofes.
