You will need to select the grade that your student will be ​entering during the next school year, 2023-2024:​​

For example, if your child is currently in 2nd grade, you will choose from the Grade 3-4 course options.​

  • Note: LEAP is now open to new TKers and students new to the district.  
  • Note: This year’s 6th graders select from their home middle school course options.
  • Note: This year’s 8th graders transitioning into high school are not eligible for LEAP.

7th-8thSummer Extravaganza / Extravaganza de VeranoVisual Arts, SEL, and more
In this course, students will learn different life skills like working with others, paying attention to directions and details, and making good choices. Students will develop these skills by participating in different activities like cooking, making slime, painting, basketball, creating nonfiction stories, and many more fun and hands-on activities all with an emphasis on reading and writing.

En este curso los alumnos aprenderan diferentes habilidades de la vida mientras trabajando con otros, poniendo atencion a direccion y detalles, y tomando buenas opciones.  Los alumnos desarollaran estas habilidades al participar en diferentes actividades tal como concinando, haciendo baba, pintando, baloncesto, creando historias de no ficcion y muchas mas actividades practicas y divertidas todo con un enfasis en leyendo y escribiendo.
7th-8thMath Game and Play / Juego de Matematicas y JugarSTEM, SEL, and more
Math is fun!  Review and practice basic skills and money math by playing board games and card games.  Build skills in spatial geometry by constructing interesting 3D puzzles and robotics.  Most importantly, students will work and play in teams and develop crucial SEL skills.

Matematicas es divertido!  Revisa y practica habilidades basicas y matematicas monetarias al jugar juegos de mesa y cartas.  Desarolla habilidades en geometria al construir rompecabezas interesantes en 3D y robotica.  Mas importante, los alumnos trabajaran y jugaran en equipo y desarollaran habilidades cruciales de SEL.
7th-8thExplore and Build with Science / Explora y Construye con CienciaSTEM, SEL, and more
Explore and Build with Science is a project-based curriculum to help students develop their social and emotional skills by exploring the Earth and building together solutions to the existing problems they will encounter in exploring. Students will be confident in their ability to design and create solutions. No worksheets, no homework, it’s all doing hands-on experience?

Explora y Construye con Ciencia es un proyecto basado en curriculo para ayudar a los alumnos desarollar sus habilidades sociales y emocionales al explorar el Mundo y edificar juntos soluciones a los problemas existentes que enfrentaran en explorar.  Los alumnos tendran confianza en su habilidad a diseñar y crear soluciones.  Sin hojas de ejercicios, no tareas, todo es experiencia practica.
7th-8thTheatre Fun from Acting to Tech / Diversion de Teatro de Actuacion a TecnologiaPerformance Arts, SEL, and more
Take a LEAP into the fun world of Theatre! Learn the basics of theatre through warm-ups, exercises/games & performances. If you've ever wanted to explore the world of acting, this is your chance! Actors will have opportunities to take the stage & see their learning come alive. No previous experience is necessary! Build friendships through play, rehearsal &performing together. Come out of your shell while gaining transferable skills in other content areas. This course blends performing arts with SEL.

Salta - LEAP - en el divertido mundo de Teatro!  Aprende lo basico del teatro por medio de calentamientos, ejercicios/juegos & actuaciones.  Si has querido explorar el mundo de actuacion, esta es tu oportunidad!  Los actores tendran oportunidades de tomar el esenario & ver su aprendizaje tomar vida.  No experiencia previa es necesario!  Forja amistades mediante jugando, ensayos & actuaciones juntos.  Sal de tu zona de complacidad mientras adquieren habilidades transferibles a otras areas contenidas.  Este curso combina las artes esenicas con SEL.
7th-8thUnleash Your Creativity / Desata tu CreatividadVisual Arts, SEL, and more
In this creative class, students will be able to use their dual language skills to collaborate with other peers and create amazing projects and develop imagination. This class will include Painting, Crafting, Digital Art, Animated Characters, origami, T-shirt art, stone art, and much much more…  The students will work on hands-on activities posed as challenges to bring out students' imaginations.

En esta clase creativa, los alumnos usaran sus conocimientos de dos idiomas para colaborar con sus compañeros y crear proyectos increibles y desarollar la imaginacion.  Esta clase incluira Pintando, Manualidades, Arte Digital, Personajes Animados, origami, Arte de Playeras, Arte de Piedra, y mucho mucho mas...  Los estudiantes trabajaran en actividades manuales posando como retos para relucir la imaginacion del alumno.

Want to learn how computers work? Participating in Student TechCrew will be learning the inner workings of Chromebooks. You'll learn how all the parts come together and be certified by Dell in the process. Hope to see you there!

Quieres aprender como trabajan las computadoras?  Participando en TechCrew sera aprender el funcionamiento interno de las computadoras (chromebooks).  Aprenderas como todas las partes se comunican y recibiras una certificacion por Dell en el proceso.  Espero verte!
7th-8thMath Camp / Campamento de MatematicasSTEM, SEL, and more
Make the most of summer by attending Math Camp. Math Camp will present students with grade-level math activities and brain-teaser challenges in a collaborative environment. By collaborating with one another, students will retain their present math knowledge and further expand their math and critical thinking skills.

Has los mejor de este verano al asistir el Campamento de Matematicas.  El Campamento de Matematicas le presenta a los alumnos actividades de matematicas de nivel de grado y desafios de rompecabezas en un entorno colaborativo.  Al colaborar uno con el otro, los alumnos conservaran sus conocimientos actuales de matematicas y ampliaran aun mas sus habilidades matematicas y de pensamiento critico.

The visual arts include everything from painting to theater, song, design, and much more. The visual arts definition includes those artistic achievements that can be seen and combined with SEL will maximize students' experience for summer fun and activities that develop students' overall appreciation of art.

Las artes visuales incluyen de todo desde la pintura hasta el teatro, canciones, diseño y mucho mas.  La definicion de artes visuales incluye esos logros artisticos que se pueden ver y combinados con SEL maximizara la experiencia de los alumnos para la diversion de verano y las actividades que desarollan la apreciacion general de los alumnos por el arte.
