JUSD Family Reading Challenge is back!

Get ready to read, JUSD families! 🎉📖

The popular Family Reading Challenge is coming back next week! With over 75,000 minutes read last year, our goal is to get to 100,000 minutes this year. ⬆️📚

Students will receive bookmarks with the form link and QR code for parents to log their child’s minutes.

The top 3 classes will get weekly shoutouts on the District and Superintendent’s social media platforms and the top classes at the end of the challenge will get earn a Grand Prize!​

Week Eight Challenge Leaders:

Congratulations to our week eight leaders in the JUSD Family Reading Challenge! This week, our elementary school students read a total of 13,103 minutes! Our families have read 140,278 minutes this school year. 

Schools with the most minutes read were:
- Stone Avenue Elementary with 3,772 minutes read
- Sky Country Elementary with 2,480 minutes read
- Sunnyslope Elementary with 2,450 minutes read

Classes that read the most minutes were:
- Ms. Loredo’s 3rd-grade class – Sunnyslope Elementary with 1,435 minutes read
- Ms. Wilson’s 2nd-grade class – Sky Country Elementary with 1,170 minutes read
- Ms. Sheehan’s 5th-grade class – Stone Avenue Elementary with 783 minutes read​
