Employment Verifications & Misconduct Disclosures

Jurupa Unified School District is committed to student safety and transparency. In accordance with California law, we provide mandatory disclosures regarding "egregious misconduct" for former employees to inquiring school districts and educational agencies.

Please select the appropriate category below to fulfill your pre-employment due diligence requirements.

1. Certificated Personnel (AB 2534 / Ed Code 44939.5)

For applicants seeking positions requiring a credential (Teachers, Administrators, etc.)

Under Assembly Bill 2534, hiring districts are required to inquire about any reports of "egregious misconduct" before hiring a certificated applicant. JUSD will disclose whether the applicant, while employed by our district, was the subject of:

  • Any credible complaints of egregious misconduct.

  • Any substantiated investigations into egregious misconduct.

  • Any disciplinary action taken for egregious misconduct.

To submit an AB 2534 inquiry: Please email your formal request and the signed applicant authorization form to AB2534@jusd.k12.ca.us

2. Non-Certificated Personnel (SB 848 / Ed Code 44051)

For applicants seeking classified or non-credentialed positions (Support Staff, Maintenance, etc.)

Pursuant to Education Code section 44051, JUSD provides employment history and misconduct disclosures for non-certificated applicants. We will provide a response disclosing if the applicant was the subject of any credible complaints, substantiated investigations, or discipline for egregious misconduct as defined in Ed Code 44932(a)(1).

To submit a 44051 inquiry: Please email your verification request to SB848@jusd.k12.ca.us.
