Intensified Supports for a few student​s

Intensified emotional and community school supports offer individualized, intensive interventions for students experiencing significant social, emotional, or behavioral challenges that interfere with their academic and personal success. These supports are designed for students who require a higher level of care beyond universal and supplemental interventions.​

Direct Individual Services:

  • Individual/Family Therapy

  • Care coordination/Intensive case management

  • Intensive Home Based Services

  • Peer Support Services

  • Referral to Therapeutic Behavioral Services*

Type of Service​





EPSDT

Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment Services (Speciality Mental Health Program) for JUSD community members ages 5-21 with Medi-Cal benefits.​

CYBHI

Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative Program. This state driven initiative offers JUSD enrolled students with commercial insurance and out of county Medi-Cal plans behavioral health services.

SAP

Student Assistance Program provides individual and/or group therapy/skill building to eligible students who are underinsured or uninsured. SAP services may be delivered by clinical staff.

Clinical Assessment

A service activity designed to evaluate the current status of a consumer’s mental, emotional, or behavioral health.

Individual & Family Therapy

Mental Health Services includes a variety of treatment services provided to individuals, groups, and/or families that are intended to reduce a consumer’s mental health impairment and improve or maintain the consumer’s present level of functioning.

Mental Health Rehab Services

It involves support in restoring or maintaining skills such as functioning, daily living, social interactions, grooming, personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication adherence. Services may include counseling for the individual or their family, training in leisure activities to enhance their goals, and creating plans or monitoring progress for individuals in care.

In Home Based Services (IHBS)
IHBS are individualized, strength-based interventions designed to improve mental health conditions that interfere with a student’s functioning.

TAY Peer & Parent Partner Support Services

These services are structured non-clinical activities provided by a Peer Support Specialist to promote recovery, wellness, self-advocacy, relationship enhancement, development of natural supports, self-awareness and values.

Case Management

Services that assist a consumer to access needed mental, medical, educational, social, vocational, rehabilitative, or other community resources.

Intensive Care Coordination

ICC is an intensive form of targeted case management, where an Intensive Care Coordinator is designated, and a Child and Family Team (CFT) is created. The CFT consists of the youth, family members, professionals, natural community supports, and other individuals identified by the youth and family who are invested in the youth and family’s success.

It supports the mental health and well-being of young people by providing education and skill-building resources.
