2021-2022 School Year

2021-2022 School Year Information Letter

May 27, 2021

Parents, students, staff, and community members:

School reopening in the fall.

We are so excited about being able to serve our students in person when school opens in August. As we close the school year, we look forward to school returning to a normal routine in August when we reopen. We cannot wait to welcome our students back to a normal routine.

This is what parents and students can expect in the fall:
• School schedules will resume to full-day, in-person instruction every day. There will be no cohorts.
• Parents have already registered if they are choosing distance learning for their students.
• Classes will return to pre-COVID sizes.
• School busing will continue as it was pre-COVID. Elementary students living 2 miles or more, students who live on routes where there are safety exceptions, and special education pupils whose IEPs require stipulate transportation will be provided busing.
• Lunches and breakfasts will be provided at school as they were pre-COVID.
• While health guidelines may change, it is not anticipated that masks or social distancing will be required.
• After school care will be available at all elementary and middle schools.
• School activities, sports, and extra-curricular activities will resume as normal.

Any of these conditions could change if there is new or different guidance from State and local agencies. For now, plan for school to resume with normal conditions.

Have a safe summer and we urge all members of our community to get vaccinated to keep our children safe and our community COVID-free.
