Measure V Passes

Jurupa community:

On behalf of the Jurupa Unified School District Board of Education and Executive Cabinet, district staff, and the nearly 18,000 students we serve, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for supporting Measure V.

This bond measure will help to ensure that we continue to provide students with safe, secure, modern, accessible, and welcoming learning environments so that they can grow, thrive, and realize their full potential.

By securing Measure V local funding of $180 million, we also will be able to access additional state school facility funds to ensure that we can modernize aging schools; enhance safety with upgraded perimeter fencing, security cameras, smoke detectors, fire alarms, and sprinklers; make schools healthier by removing asbestos and lead pipes at our older facilities; replace or fix deteriorating roofs, plumbing, gas lines, and electrical systems; replace older portable classrooms with more modern, permanent buildings; and ensure schools are up to code and accessible for all students, including those with physical disabilities.

When we upgrade schools, we also upgrade our community. Your approval of this bond measure shows that you, like us, want the best for our students and the future of Jurupa Valley. Thank you for your continued support of Learning Without Limits.

Sincerely,

Trenton Hansen, PhD

Superintendent
