To our community of teachers, staff and district employees,
Thank you to each person who makes Jurupa Unified a great place to go to school. It is time to retire our old logo, mission statement and motto. Today is a special day as we unveil a new logo, brand and district promise. For any agency or organization, it is healthy to undergo periodic reflection, introspection and self-evaluation. Last year, Jurupa Unified began a process of rigorous self-examination to ensure that we’re effectively working with, communicating with, and meeting the needs and expectations of our stakeholders. Teachers, classified employees, parents and community members were surveyed, and a broad range of individuals were interviewed in depth. Through this process we have taken a close look at our marketing materials and we realize that they no longer articulate our message in an authentic and motivating way.
We listened, assessed the feedback, and combined it with district priorities such as applying neuroscience research to classroom learning, instilling grit and a growth mind-set in every student, and ensuring that all students have access to a broad range of specialized curriculum.
A key result of this evaluation is the district’s new motto: “Learning Without Limits.” The ethos, “Learning Without Limits,” reflects our commitment to the belief that each student can succeed in school and in life, ready for college and career. Our logo was inspired by the eagle and visually represents our promise through communications across the district. We have created an updated look, focus, and brand promise which will help highlight our remarkable teachers, excellent staff, and the many incredible opportunities we provide for students.
