​CIPA and Internet Policy

As required by the Federal Universal Service Fund (USF) “E-Rate” program and the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA), the District is to provide a public notice and a hearing to address technology protection measures and Internet safety policy. The District will enforce a policy of Internet safety and certify compliance of the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA). The District certifies that, as of the date of the start of discounted services, pursuant to the Children’s Internet Protection Act as codified at 47 U.S.C. §254 (h) and (l), the recipient of service represented in the Funding Request Number (s) on Form 486 is undertaking such actions to comply with the requirements of CIPA. (Technology protection measures and Internet safety policy that includes educating minors about appropriate online behavior, including interacting with other individuals on social networking websites and in chat rooms, and cyber-bullying awareness and response [Broadband Data Improvement Act]). A Public Notice and Board Policy and Regulation 6163.4, Student Use of Technology, was posted from Friday, August 2, 2024, through Friday, August 9, 2024, at the JUSD Education Center, 4850 Pedley Road, Jurupa Valley; at the Glen Avon Regional Library, 9244 Galena, Jurupa Valley; and at the Louis B. Robidoux Library, 5840 Mission Blvd., Jurupa Valley. The information is also posted on the JUSD web page at www.jurupausd.org.
