WELCOME!
Jurupa Unified School District is devoted to providing its students with a top-notch education, preparing them for success in school, in career, and in life. Part of providing a top-notch education is providing safe, modern, and relevant school environments for students to learn and grow in.
There are currently more than a dozen JUSD schools that are in need of modernization. Eleven of those sites have never been modernized since they were built. Ten of those eleven sites were built in the late 1980s or early 1990s. To continue supporting quality education for years to come, these sites need modernizations and repairs. However, there is currently no funding available to complete these improvements.
The District is proposing a school improvement bond measure on the November 2024 ballot, known as Measure V. This measure would provide necessary funding to address the critical repairs and upgrades our schools require.
In 2020, JUSD completed a Facilities Master Plan, which serves as a roadmap for the modernization of the remaining school sites that are still waiting for improvements. This Facilities Master Plan, developed in collaboration with students, staff, and the community, allows JUSD to be future-ready, so when new facility funding becomes available, we will be ready to hit the ground running and bring these critical repairs, upgrades, and modern improvements to more of our school sites.
During the Facilities Master Plan process, six Guiding Principles for Design - Safety, Whole Child, Social Skills and Communication, Outdoor Connections to the Environment, Innovation, and Sustainability were developed. These principles serve as a lens to guide the district when planning new building and modernization projects, and allow us to promote the district's promise of Learning Without Limits by ensuring our buildings support our students' health, happiness, and learning.
Here in Jurupa, we don't just build schools, we build futures!
