"Jurupa Valley High School students soon will have better tools to pursue high-paying jobs in fast-growing fields.Construction is expected to start in early February on an innovation center to improve training for students interested in science, technology, engineering, arts and math careers.
Jurupa Unified School District board members last week awarded contracts totaling $3.6 million for the first phase of the roughly $7 million project, expected to be completed by the start of the 2018-19 school year.The money will come from Measure EE, a $144 million school bond that district voters passed in 2014.The center is planned as a home for career technical education programs such as construction, auto, agricultural sciences, information technology, engineering and clean energy."
