4-6th Instrumental Music – Band & Strings

All students in the 4-6th grade must participate in at least one (1) performance ensemble – band, choir or strings. Students may only choose up to one (1) instrument, but may perform in two ensembles (example: band & choir or strings & choir).

Classes are pull-out, which means students leave their regular classrooms for instruction. Students are responsible for any classwork missed while attending their pull-out ensembles. Classes meet two days per week for 30-45 minutes. Performances will be held throughout the year.

- In 4th grade – Students may choose from flute, clarinet, trumpet, violin or viola.

- In 5th and 6th grade – Students may choose from flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, baritone horn, trombone, violin, viola or cello. Students may also audition for percussion (drums).
