NANCY REYNA
 ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL STUDENT SERVICES

Hello, amazing Rubidoux community. My name is Nancy Reyna, and I want to welcome you to my page!

My family and I migrated to the United States in 1995. Immediately after arriving in California, I started school in the 5th grade. Throughout my time in Middle School and High School, I faced many difficulties and challenges that I now recognize as moments of growth and learning. My teachers, administrators, and parents helped shape my future. I now have the honor and privilege to be a part of your child’s story.

As a first-generation Mexican-American, English Language Learner, and first-generation college student, my mission is to guide and influence students towards academic success, social and emotional wellness, and career readiness. I truly hope that my interactions with students inspires them to know they are capable of achieving anything they put their minds to. As a parent of two children attending Jurupa Unified School District, I believe in treating your children with kindness, respect, and equity.

I graduated from Phoenix University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and then attended the University of La Verne where I earned an Education Specialist teaching credential and a master’s degree in Special Education.

While I was attending college I worked as a Student Attendant Aide in the Alta Loma Unified School District, and an Instructional Aide in the Fontana Unified School District. I was hired by Jurupa Unified in the year 2015 as an Education Specialist and taught science and math for 7th and 8th graders at Mission Middle School. The following school year, I transferred to Rubidoux High School where I had the privilege to teach various courses in ELA and collaborated with teachers to meet the needs of our students with Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs). In March of 2020, I was promoted to a Teacher on Special Assignment designated to support the Student Management and Accountability office. On March 8th, 2021, I was appointed as the Assistant Principal of the Student Management and Accountability office.

I am extremely thankful to be a part of the Rubidoux High School family, and most importantly, I am thankful to have the opportunity to serve our students and community.
