Principal's Message

Welcome to Patriot High School, the home of the Warriors. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and community as principal of Patriot High School. I look forward to working with all stakeholders to make the 2018-2019 school year the best since we first opened our gates in 2007.

As principal, I invite our parents and community members to become part of the Warrior family and work as our partners to create a school that reflects the best of our community. Together, we can provide our students and your children the very best high school experience and prepare them for the wonderful unknown futures of their choosing.

At Patriot High School, we are driven by our long standing vision statement, "Pursuing Excellence in Learning and Character Within the Patriot Community". This statement provides the foundation for all of our programs and drives our faculty, students and staff to maintain a growth mindset by continuing to improve our instructional practices, deepen the learning outcomes for our students, and ensure our students are prepared to enter the college and career path of their choosing.

Patriot is a school of inclusion. Warriors are encouraged to become involved in any number of student electives or co-curricular programs such as our student leadership organizations-ASB, Warrior Spirit, and Link Crew; 14 CIF participating sports teams; our award winning vocal or instrumental music programs; seasonal drama performances or display their visual art creations in ceramics, art, or digital media. We are also committed to offering students an opportunity to participate in our Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways that allow students to attain entry level certification in Information/Communication Technology, Health Science and Medical Technology, Retail Sales and Marketing, Arts, Media, and Entertainment, or Public Service. Students can also challenge themselves academically by taking any of our 19 advanced placement courses, or pursue the prestigious College Board Capstone Diploma by successfully completing our A.P. Capstone program. We also have a very strong AVID program, an expanding Dual Immersion program, and our students can now earn college credit by taking RCC courses in our CCAP program, or the CBU online English course (limited seats available for seniors). So, whatever the interest or talents our students would like to develop, there is a place for them at Patriot.

Our committed staff is looking forward to a great year of helping our school continue our pursuit of excellence during this school year and look encourage the Patriot community to join us in our efforts.

Let's go Warriors,

Monty Owens
