Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year!
Dear Nueva Vista High School Community,
It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter to you as the principal of Nueva Vista High School. I am excited and honored to lead a school centered on providing a safe and rich educational experience for all students.
We're proud to offer an accelerated curriculum that supports credit recovery and provides our students the chance to succeed academically and ultimately graduate. We encourage you to experience our school culture, one that is focused on providing students with the academic and social resources that will prepare them to achieve their post-secondary goals.
At Nueva Vista, we believe that it is important for our students to be connected to school through positive relationships and a strong sense of community. Every student can learn and be successful if provided with the right support and opportunities. Our teachers and staff are committed to providing all students with an appropriate and challenging educational experience in a respectful environment that fosters learning and growth.
A crucial part of success for students is attendance. We invite our students and families to approach school with the attitude that “each day counts" for students to be in school and ready to learn every day. At Nueva Vista, we will assist in helping parents and families understand the importance of instructional time and school attendance. Additionally, we recognize that family and community support are integral to our success. This is why we encourage you to get involved by supporting our School Site Council (SSC) and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) and attend any special school events during the year. Parents and guardians play the most important roles in our student's success and we invite you to collaborate with us in your student's education.
When we take the time to strategically plan, forge positive relationships, celebrate our achievements, and continue to build on our successful foundation, we can foster a learning environment where our students will thrive.

Estimada comunidad de la Escuela Secundaria Nueva Vista,
Es con gran orgullo y entusiasmo que les escribo esta carta como director de la Escuela Secundaria Nueva Vista. Me emociona y me honra dirigir una escuela centrada en brindar una experiencia educativa rica y segura para todos los estudiantes.
Estamos orgullosos de ofrecer un plan de estudios acelerado que respalda la recuperación de créditos y brinda a nuestros estudiantes la oportunidad de tener éxito académico y, en última instancia, graduarse. Lo alentamos a experimentar nuestra cultura escolar, que se enfoca en brindar a los estudiantes los recursos académicos y sociales que los preparará para lograr sus metas después de la secundaria.
En Nueva Vista creemos que es importante que nuestros estudiantes estén conectados con la escuela a través de relaciones positivas y un fuerte sentido de comunidad. Todos los estudiantes pueden aprender y tener éxito si se les brinda el apoyo y las oportunidades adecuadas. Una parte crucial del éxito de los estudiantes es la asistencia. En Nueva Vista, ayudaremos a los padres y familias a comprender la importancia del tiempo de instrucción y la asistencia escolar. Además, reconocemos que el apoyo de la familia y la comunidad es parte integral de nuestro éxito. Es por eso que lo alentamos a que se involucre apoyando a nuestro consejo del sitio escolar (SSC) y al comité asesor de estudiantes de inglés (ELAC) y asista a cualquier evento escolar especial durante el año. Los padres y tutores juegan los roles más importantes en el éxito de nuestros estudiantes y los invitamos a colaborar con nosotros en la educación de sus estudiantes.
Cuando nos tomamos el tiempo para planificar estratégicamente, forjar relaciones positivas, celebrar nuestros logros y continuar construyendo sobre nuestra base exitosa, podemos fomentar un entorno de aprendizaje en el que nuestros estudiantes prosperarán.
