Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Mission Middle School! My name is Miss Aguilera, though many know me as Miss A, and I am honored to serve as your new principal. I am excited to join the Mustang family and continue moving forward with JUSD’s vision of Learning Without Limits.
Mission Middle is home to more than 600 incredible scholars and over 80 dedicated staff members who work each day to ensure our students are prepared for success both inside and beyond our school walls. Here, we believe limits are not roadblocks—they are challenges to acknowledge, confront, and surpass.
At Mission Middle, we understand that every student and family arrives with unique experiences, backgrounds, strengths, and challenges. We recognize that barriers exist, and we are committed to understanding those barriers so they never define or interfere with student success. Our work is rooted in the belief that every Mustang has unlimited potential, and in the short but powerful two years students spend with us, we are committed to helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our foundation is built on Mustang PRIDE. PRIDE means showing up with perseverance, demonstrating respect, living with integrity, committing to determination, and pursuing excellence in all that we do. It means believing in yourself, supporting others, and taking ownership of your learning journey. Mustang PRIDE is more than school spirit—it is the mindset and culture that drives our community forward.
As principal, I believe deeply in collaboration, advocacy, participation, and academic excellence. I also believe strong schools are built through strong partnerships. Before setting goals and priorities for the year ahead, I want to learn from our students, families, and staff so we can build a shared vision together.
My hope is that you partner with us to make this school year meaningful, memorable, and life-changing. We are committed to providing meaningful learning experiences that challenge students to think critically, grow confidently, and dream beyond what they thought possible.
