Welcome to Mira Loma Middle School!
I'm so excited to welcome you to the Mountain Lion family!
My name is Allison Hesler, and I have the privilege of serving as principal of Mira Loma Middle School. While this is my first year at Mira Loma, it is my 18th year in Jurupa Unified School District. I have been fortunate to serve students and families in both elementary and middle schools throughout my career, and I'm especially excited to be back at the school where my own educational journey began as a proud Mira Loma and Jurupa Valley High School graduate.
Middle school is an exciting time for students. It's a time when they begin to discover who they are, what they enjoy, and what they're capable of accomplishing. They build friendships, develop independence, explore new interests, and begin preparing for all the opportunities that await them in high school and beyond.
At Mira Loma, we want every student to feel like they belong. We also want every student to find something that excites them. Whether that's through academics, leadership, athletics, the arts, technology, or one of our many clubs and activities, we encourage every Mountain Lion to get involved and make the most of their middle school experience.
We are proud to offer students incredible opportunities through programs like Dual Immersion, Project Lead the Way (PLTW), Band, Choir, Video Production, Dell Tech, ASB, intramural sports, and so much more. Our goal is to provide experiences that challenge students, encourage creativity and innovation, and help them discover interests that will shape their future.
Just as important as our students are our families. We truly believe education is a partnership, and we invite you to be involved. Whether you're attending school events, joining School Site Council (SSC), ELAC, Booster Club, or simply staying connected through ParentSquare and our Lattes with Leadership meetings, your involvement makes a difference.
My commitment is simple: I want Mira Loma to be a place where students feel safe, supported, challenged, and excited to come to school each day. Every decision we make is centered on what's best for students, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside an amazing staff dedicated to helping every child succeed.
