Alex Diaz won a silver medal for her project titled, Can Cow Manure be Used to Produce Renewable Energy? She also received a Student Award for Geoscience Excellence from the Association for Women Geoscientists. Alex said her favorite part conducting the science fair project was "the research and mixing the cow manure combinations, such as cow manure and mashed banana or cow manure and vegetable peelings." At the fair there were over 500 science projects from all over Riverside County in grades 4-12 represented. Congratulations Alex! We are so proud of you!
