Riverside Elks Lodge: Essay Winners

The Riverside Elks Lodge has an annual essay contest and presents awards recognizing the winners at a banquet.  All student winners received a certificate from the Elks Lodge along with a Target gift card.  They also received signed certificates from Congressman, Mark Takano; Mayor, William Bailey, III; and Assemblyman, Jose Medina. There are two parts to the essay contest: one is for Drug Awareness, and the other for Americanism. First place winners were asked to read their essays to the audience.    We are very proud that nine JMS students were named as winners for the essays they submitted!
