Mission Bell Elementary School recognizes ANABEL PLATA-ORTIZ as Classified Employee of the Year. She is a fabulous employee and very deserving of this recognition.
Mrs. Plata-Ortiz serves in two positions, Bilingual Language Tutor and Instructional Aide in our primary grade SDC class. She shows great concern for the welfare of the students in the classroom. She is hard-working and is always willing to go out of her way to help a student succeed. The teachers she works with praise her ability to adapt and modify according to the students' needs. She has a solid grasp on early literacy routines and does an excellent job working with small groups and helping struggling students to progress. She would be able to run the classroom herself if the teacher were not there. Congratulations Mrs. Plata-Ortiz.
