Dear Del Sol Academy students, staff and families:
It is an honor and a privilege to join the Del Sol community. Del Sol is a shining example of educational excellence and I look forward to working with all of you to support a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment for each of our school’s 1,200 students.
Although I am new to Del Sol, I am not new to Jurupa Unified. I have spent nearly two decades serving students and families as a teacher, coach, coordinator, and administrator at the elementary and secondary levels. I’m excited to continue to serve our JUSD families in my new role.
As a STEM academy, Del Sol has a unique mission to not only provide all of our students with a well-rounded education but also to strengthen our students’ knowledge and interest in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We know that STEM fields are increasingly important in our global economy and we hope that the experiences our students receive at Del Sol will prepare them for a bright future.
It also is important to create a kind, welcoming school environment for all students. This takes all of us working together – students, staff, and parents. With collaboration and communication, we can keep our promise to bring all of our students the opportunity to experience Learning Without Limits.
