Community Connections

August 25th, 2021

Good afternoon JUSD Community,

Seeing kids on campuses again has brought me great joy, and our school year is off to an excellent start. Although we have faced challenges brought about by the pandemic, JUSD teachers and staff have responded with enthusiasm and dedication to meet the needs of our students. As we continue supporting learning without limits, here are some updates and reminders to be aware of:

Back-to-School

New year, no limits! Relive the return to school with this video.

Health & Safety Resources

Daily Screenings for COVID-19

We ask that parents and guardians help their students complete a Daily Screenings assessment each day before coming to school. Please see our Daily Screenings Guide or watch our instructional video.

Contact Tracing

  • When there is a positive case on one of our campuses, JUSD performs contact tracing to identify close contacts of the individual (those who were within 6 feet or less of the individual for 15 minutes or more over 24 hours).

  • These close contacts receive personal notification and are provided the appropriate direction regarding quarantine.

  • Once close contacts have been notified, the rest of the school’s staff, students, and parents are informed of the positive case on campus.

  • More information from the California Department of Public Health can be found here.
