Rivercrest Preparatory Online School is an alternative, public school serving grades 7-12 and part of the Jurupa Unified School District (JUSD). Our school is WASC accredited and fulfills high school graduation requirements. Students seeking to enroll in a university after high school also have the opportunity to satisfy college preparatory requirements.
Rivercrest Preparatory opened in 2013 as a high school and we have since expanded our program to include middle school grades 7-8. Our small classes and one-to-one interaction with school staff provides a flexible and encouraging environment that will prepare students for graduation and their future. The innovative and blended approach to learning we use includes online curriculum and face-to-face class time with an emphasis on independent study. Students have easy access to our highly qualified staff and 24/7 online access to their classes.
Rivercrest Preparatory is not the right fit for every student or all families. The blended learning model requires independent thinking, time management and dedication to learning. As a result, our school strives to ensure that families are well informed about the program before enrolling. Parent meetings during enrollment and informational meetings about the school are there to help this process. We welcome everyone to look through our website, talk to our staff, and see if this is the right direction for their student. If you later feel the program is not a good fit for your student, Rivercrest will willingly speak to you about your options, including the possibility of the student returning to their home school.
